Teddy goes to Ladonia

I made this video after a short visit to Ladonia last sunday.
The place was quite hard to find. We almost gave up. The kids were so tired they stayed in the car.
Me and my friends Karin and Morgan walked down to the beach near Kullaberg National Park, Sweden, where the swedish artist Lars Vilks has built the to parts of Ladonia: Nimis and Arx. He started building it in 1980.
Ladonia is also a virtual country. It has about 11 000 citizens.

foal - furioso

I'm experimenting a litle with video in Second Life. Video can be shown on all surfaces. Here the same video is shown on the background and on all the forms the foal is made of. Sound is partly from the video shown ... in the video, and from a website about the wolverine.
The video shown on the objects is the video in the previous post HERE.

From Wirxli Flimflams Perfomances at Gallery urEN lUREN May 25

An incredible number of people/avatars came to the opening of my Gallery urEN lUREN last friday, May 25th! But now, Wirxli , who had two performances on the opening, is an art superstar, so of course people wanted to come. If you wasn't one of the lucky people who saw his performances, here you have a chance to get a litle of the feel that day form these documentaries I have made. The videos are about 4 minutes each, without sound, but the performances went on for 2 hours, with the sim crashing and heavy lag problems included.
Unfortunally, the second perfomance was not finished because Lisa Dapto from Melboure, Austalia, had so much trouble keeping herself in-world, that we had to call it off, but taking it up later, to finish it.
The results of the performances are now a part of the exhibition at Trollhaugen. You can also see the videos there.
So here is:
nOObject #1 - part 1 (first try)

nOObject #1 - part 2

Some pictures of the performance, in case you don't have time to watch the videos:

The pictures are only of nOObject #1.
See Wirxli's own long blogpost on the event here: http://wirxliflimflam.blogspot.com/2007/05/noobjectivity-1.html
where he explaines the idea behind his performance. About nOObject #2 - Ageplay relations - A family Affair... here: http://fwwixliwirxli.blogspot.com/2007/05/noobjectivity-ageplay-relations-family.html
This link leads you to FWwixli Swindlehurst', Wirxli's adoptive daughter's site. She is the chainsmoking girl who is hopping in vid nr 2 over here..
Enjoy!

The Spirit Fens Art Festival, May 19

Written by Plurabelle Posthorn

The Spirit Fens Art Festival in Second Life was a part of Artomatic 2007, Artomatic being a multimedia art festival in Washington DC featuring more than 600 area artists and performers. "The free five-week event, to be held April 13–May 20, will feature nearly 90,000 square feet of paintings, sculptures, photography and other creative work." More about the rl Artomatic HERE.
The Spirit Fens Art Festival was hosted by Morning Dagger (aka Jack Whitsitt) at the SintixErr Gallery, Enniv Zarf and PK Works: Krystal Epic - A Whole New Kind of Experience (See Cyanide Seelowe's review of Enniv Zarf's PK Works: Listening to Art - A Journey through Krystal Epic), Xavier Mohr and SL Reports, Frageurs Hock and MH Motors.

Now, some weeks ago they annouced a competition: a Scripted Practical Sculpture competition, 20 prims max. A litle later a competitions for 2D art was also annouced. Three prizes in each category:
Grand Prize of L$10,000 decided by the Jury, Audience Prize of L$10,000 decided by the voters,a combination of SL audience and RL audience from the Artomatic Festival in Washington DC, One Runner-up prize of L$2000.
At 4pm all the competition entries were up, and people tped in.
Enniv Zarf opened the show, and what a great opening: AOM! The Avatar Orchestra Metavers! I finally got to hear them in a live concert. In the middle of the picture here is the instrument build by Bingo Onomatopoeia.

See Wirxli Flimflams (one of the performers) report on the event HERE. The Avatar Orchestra Metavers own blog HERE.
You can hear earlier recordings of the to pieces they played this evening here: Miulew Takahe(bjørn eriksson)'s Rue Blache and Bingo Onomatopoeia's "Wee.No.Kresh" (click on the links).
Here's my fan video from the concert:

After this marvelous concert, it was time to look closely at all the fine entries for the competions, talking to the other artist, oh, I forgot to tell! I had three entries for the competition myself (so I had to be there...), and listening to the live music that was streamed from Washington DC.
A couple of hours later it was time for the awards.
